Taaras Beach & Spa vs Sari Pacifica

Before you compare prices for The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort and Sari Pacifica Resort & Spa, confirm what each one is. Taaras is placed on the north coast of Redang, but booking sites say it was formerly a Berjaya resort, which we could not verify. Sari Pacifica is placed around Long Beach on Redang by one blog and listed under Lang Tengah by another.

Berjaya states that it owns two Redang resorts and names only one ^[2]. That leaves room for confusion about which resort is which, so confirm the operator in writing. Our pages on Taaras Beach & Spa and Sari Pacifica on Redang say the same.

How do you confirm which island Sari Pacifica is on?

There is a separate page for a Sari Pacifica on Lang Tengah, because the sources disagree. Ask the resort three plain questions before anything else:

1. Which island is the resort on?
2. Which jetty and which boat do guests use?
3. What is the address and who is the operator?

Check the replies against your booking confirmation. If the island changes between messages, pause and ask again.

What do the package styles tell you?

A blog lists three styles for Sari Pacifica: all-inclusive, breakfast plus dinner, and breakfast-only. That one source is a hint, not a menu.

Ask which style applies to your dates, which meals and drinks the all-inclusive version covers, and what is charged on top. Then ask Taaras the same, since we have no meal details for it. Our full board package guide lists the usual exclusions.

What fees and terms should be written down?

Redang’s marine park fee is reported at RM30 for an adult and RM15 for a child aged six to twelve without a MyKad ^[4]. MyKad holders are reported to pay RM5 and RM2 ^[4]. The source is secondary, so ask each resort to state the amount and whether it is in the price.

Also ask for the cancellation rule and what happens if the boat cannot sail.

A better fit if…

Sari Pacifica may be a better fit if it turns out to be on Redang and its package style matches your plan. Confirm the island first.

Either may be a poor fit if you need the details settled before you can plan leave. In that case, ask for written answers and wait for them.

When can you go?
