Redang Paradise Resort: what to confirm
You want to know how meals work at this Pasir Panjang resort before comparing it.
Redang Paradise Resort is on the Pasir Panjang strip on Pulau Redang, next to Redang Bay Resort. One blog says breakfast is mandatory and mentions no full-board package. That is all we have on meals, so the rest is a list of questions.
Read this with the Pulau Redang island guide and the resort inclusion comparator.
What do we know?
Pasir Panjang is the largest beach on the east side of Redang, with about half a dozen resorts [1]. Redang Paradise is listed beside Redang Bay.
The meal detail comes from a single blog: breakfast is mandatory, and no full-board package was mentioned. We have not seen an official page, so confirm it with the resort.
What does a mandatory breakfast change?
It means breakfast is part of the room rate, and you plan lunch and dinner on your own or buy them as extras. That can be a good fit if you like choosing where to eat.
It can also add up. On a small island, ask where lunch and dinner are served, what they cost per person, and whether children pay a different amount. Put those figures beside a full-board quotation from another resort before you decide.
Who might it suit?
It may suit you if you like to decide meal by meal and enjoy having a few places to walk to along the beach. It may also suit a group where people eat at different times.
A package with full board, meaning your main meals are included (check exactly which ones), is a better fit if you want one price and no daily decisions. We have not stayed here, so the food and rooms are questions for the resort.
Getting there
Most Redang guests cross from the Merang jetty by speedboat, about 45 minutes [2]. Ask whether the transfer is in your rate and when the boat leaves.
If the road leg worries you, our Merang jetty arrival guide shows how to plan it.
Details to confirm before booking
- Is breakfast in the room rate, and what does it include?
- What are the lunch and dinner options, and what do they cost?
- Which room types are available for my group?
- Is the boat transfer and marine park fee included?
- What are the child and senior rules?
- What is the cancellation rule if the boat cannot sail?
When does it close?
Most east-coast resorts close during the northeast monsoon, roughly November to February or March [3]. We have no confirmed season dates for this resort, so please ask.
How should you compare it with neighbours?
Use the same questions for each. Start with Redang Bay Resort, which one blog describes as all-inclusive, and Redang Beach Resort on the same beach.
Put the totals into the cost calculator so meals and boats are counted the same way.
Common questions
Is breakfast compulsory at Redang Paradise Resort?
One blog says breakfast is mandatory and does not mention a full-board package. It is a single source, so confirm it. Ask what lunch and dinner cost, where you can eat them, and whether the breakfast is already in the room rate.
Is there a full-board package?
Our source does not mention one. That may mean none exists, or it may not have been listed. Ask the resort directly for the available meal plans and what each covers, then compare the total with a resort that quotes full board.
How far is Redang Paradise Resort from Redang Bay Resort?
Our sources place Redang Paradise next to Redang Bay on the Pasir Panjang strip. Neighbours on the same beach can still differ in price, rooms and meals, so compare them with the same list of questions rather than assuming they are alike.
