Our editorial policy

You deserve to know how our pages are written and paid for.

Our pages are written from dated sources, corrected when you spot a mistake, and never ranked for money. Where a commercial relationship may exist, we say so plainly. This page sets out the rules we follow.

How do we source our facts?

We use official pages, operator pages and reputable reports, and we note the source and the date checked for each fact. We do not invent prices, timetables, reviews or personal visits. When we cannot confirm something, we label it as reported or not confirmed and tell you to check with the operator.

How do we date our pages?

Facts carry the date we last checked them. Fees, fares and schedules change, so an older date is a reason to confirm before you pay. Our guide on keeping prices and timetables fresh explains how often we review.

How do corrections work?

If you spot a mistake, send us a WhatsApp message with the word “Correction”, the page and what looks wrong. We check the source, fix the page if you are right and update the date. Steps are in the corrections guide.

Are rankings or recommendations paid for?

No. Nobody pays to be placed higher, and we do not accept payment for a favourable description. Our suggestions follow the method in how we decide what to recommend.

How are commercial relationships disclosed?

We may receive a referral fee from the booking agency when a booking is confirmed through us. You pay nothing extra, because the agency’s quotation is the price you see. The agency handles the booking and the payment. We will update this page when the arrangement is final.

What do you gain from this?

You can trace any claim to its source, tell us when we are wrong and see how we earn. Read how we compare on our method page, and see the disclaimer for the limits of what we can tell you.
